Matthew “Matt” Harding (born September 27, 1976) is an American video game designer and Internet celebrity known as Dancing Matt for his viral videos that show him dancing in front of landmarks and street scenes in various international locations. Harding has since received widespread coverage of his travel exploits in major print and broadcast media outlets.

He is originally from Westport, Connecticut. He began his game industry career working for a video game specialty store called Cutting Edge Entertainment, Harding later worked as an editor for GameWeek Magazine in Wilton, Connecticut, and then as a software developer for Activision in Santa Monica, California and then Brisbane, Australia.

Harding claims that a sarcastic joke about the popularity of shoot ‘em up games led Pandemic Studios to develop the game Destroy All Humans!, on which he received a conceptual credit. Saying he “didn’t want to spend two years of my life writing a game about killing everyone”, he quit his job and began traveling, leading to the production of his first video.

I’m thinking…

If a community in Estonia would come together towards building an ecovillage, then asking for help from mudgirls, kleiwerks or some other community, everything would be possible. Of course we should pay for their work and travels but it would not cost a dime for a group of people.

Agreed. I myself am serious too often. But I’m making an effort not be like that.

Nature

“Compared to Brighton, my home town (which is great and definitely worth a visit) in England, the weather here is better: no horizontal rain, no whipping Channel winds”, defending our rather cold wetter.

I’ve always wanted to live in a warm place but this makes me think again. Do I need a horizontal rain? I never thought about that. And do I need all those dangerous snakes, spiders etc near me? I have to seriously think about that.

“In autumn you can pick as much as you can eat from the forests including blueberries, cranberries, mushrooms, wild strawberries (those little ones that just make your mouth water when you just think of them) and even the rare, but delicious, cloudberry.”, he says.

We estonians need to start appreciate what we have. It’s like gold but better. James Bond would have to dream about this world!

Did I mention I live with my girlfriend - thus ‘we’ in the title? Well, that’s another story…

When I stopped eating meat all most 2 years ago, my friends told me that it’s not healthier, because of all the pesticides farmers use on plants. I didn’t really care and didn’t listen. But that fact stood there in the corner of my mind. I’ve listened to many people since then saying, “Don’t you know that you eat pesticides?” But somehow it still didn’t get to me. I even did a raw vegan diet for a month.

My girlfriend told how she realised that pesticides are real. She has a friend who is allergic to every pesticide. Whenever she eats apples, oranges, banananas etc that are not organic she gets physical reactions like rash. You could wash it really hard but still it would make her sick.

So, it’s there… ON your food and IN your food.

Boiled Frogg

“I don’t get rash and I have a strong immune system!” you say.

Have you heard about the experiment of boiled frogg? ( It’s cruel and is not legal anymore. I don’t certainly approve it, but if it’s allready done maby we can learn from it? )

The boiling frog story states that a frog can be boiled alive if the water is heated slowly enough — it is said that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will never jump out.

Why is that? Because frogs nervous system accustoms with the heat. Change in temperature is so slow, the animal does not undrestand it’s killing it.

Maby we humans are in the same situation? We live in the pollution and eat all kinds of chemicals. Eventually when the “water get’s too hot”, we get cancer or heart attack or tumor and die.

The answer

In Estonia we found a shop that offers a bag full of 10 different organic products. The content differs every week and you can replace 2 items. Today we got:

• potatoes 2kg
• carrots 1kg
• turnip 40g
• beet 400g
• cabbage 600g
• bumpkin 1kg
• apple 1kg
• tomato puree 100g
• Vändra seedbread and forresthoney (Vändra is a place in Estona… oh, and I’m a vegan minus the honey part… It’s delicious and has many vitamins, minerals etc).

Everything is packaged in paper and the total cost is 200 EEK (17$ or 13 EUR). That’s cheap!

It feels absolutely great to eat something pure!

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world.

Two men - John Rendall and Ace Bourke - adopted a lion in 1969. They spotted a 35-pound lion cub in a little cage. Like kids enthralled by a puppy in a pet store window, they had to have him.
